A chicken wandered into one of the cafes an kept an eye on the cookie I was eating. It was there for about 10 minutes.
We left Stewart and headed for our next stop. We had made good time the day before so thought we would make it past Dease Lake. One of the junctions was full of motorcycles and ended up talking bikes for about an hour with them.
We saw one of the biggest burgers we had ever seen at the Tagotta lodge. Risto had a heartbreaker - two huge angus patties and a salad between two grilled cheese sandwiches for buns.
We stopped at the Yukon border and took a few pictures by the nice sign at the state line and started thinking about were we would spend the night. There were a few mosquitos down by the road but a nice breeze up by the sign and Risto suggested we pitch the tents right there. After we got over the angst about travelers being greeted with a tent city to the Yukon we drove a few miles further to the gas station and found some water and filled gas tanks and came back to the sign and set up for the night.
