We have a group of four to start the trip. Graham, Ted, Risto, and Dave. Ted will be riding along for tor the day but continuing his own way from Prince George. Graham is riding a KTM 950, Ted a BMW K1300GT, Risto a Triumph Sprint 1050 GT, and I'm on a BMW F800GSA.
We got started but almost had a disaster just an hour down the rode. A bear exploded from a slough and ran across the road in a spray of water in front of Ted. It was very close that it didn't get hit.
We rode through the Fraser Canyon. Perfect 60 degrees, sunny, lots of scenery, tunnels and curves. Motorcycles were invented for this.
We continued our Tim Horton world tour with lunch at the 100 Mile House location.
After lunch it was a nice ride through Williams Lake, Quesnel, and a fast finish into Prince George for dinner and the night. If I was the KTM and I saw Graham pulling on his spurs, I would fake a dead battery or something.
Looking at the map tonight... we made pretty good time today. We might be able to stay in Stewart tomorrow. Don't know yet...
